This is how the program looks like after a File-Open or File-Scan action has been completed.

The large area shows the film strip, at the current zoom. By default, the image is displayed as “fit to width”. The current zoom value is shown in the status bar (106.10 %).
The selection rectangle is also displayed (dashed), with the default size and position. The default size is according to the current dpi value (2400 in this case), and the film type (regular8 or super8, regular8 in this case). On the right, two more areas are used.
The top right area shows the selection rectangle contents. The frame real size (width and height, in pixels) is displayed on top of the area. These values will be the width and height values of the frames saved on the hard disk. The middle right area shows a global view of the strip. The image real dimensions (width and height, in pixels) are also displayed.
The status bar shows additional information (left to right): the cursor position (screen values), the selection rectangle position and dimensions (top left corner co-ordinates, width and height as screen values), the type of film and frame rate, the current zoom value and the file name.
The toolbar hosts the most used functions. A few more functions are available from the menu.
